Jira integration
Critical alerts → Jira issues.
Investigation + SOC teams that run case management in Jira can wire Tracelight events into Jira projects via the generic webhook path. Each critical or high-severity alert becomes a triaged Jira issue with an owner, priority, and labels.
What's in this integration
- Generic webhook → Jira REST API endpoint (or Zapier → Jira action)
- Map alert.fired → Jira issue creation in your investigations project
- Suggested filter: severity in [critical, high] to keep Jira noise low
- Auto-assign by category (e.g. category=breach → assign to security team)
- Mirror Jira status back to Tracelight via case-comments API for two-way context
Setup
- 1Jira → Settings → System → Webhooks → Create new webhook (or use Automation rules)
- 2Tracelight → Dashboard → Integrations → New webhook → Kind: generic_json
- 3Paste your Jira REST API endpoint OR Zapier catch-hook URL (recommended for ease)
- 4Subscribe to alert.fired + monitor.match
- 5In Zapier: Filter on severity in [critical, high] → Action: Jira → Create Issue
- 6Test from Tracelight + verify Jira issue appears
