Tracelight alerts → GitHub issues.

Security teams that run incident response in GitHub Issues + Projects can wire Tracelight alerts into the same flow. Each high-severity event becomes a triaged issue with labels + assignees + project-board placement.

What's in this integration

  • Generic webhook → GitHub REST API (or Zapier → GitHub action)
  • Map alert.fired → Issue creation in your security-incidents repo
  • Auto-label by category (sec/breach, sec/sanctions, sec/social) for project-board routing
  • Suggested filter: severity in [critical, high]
  • Mirror issue close back to Tracelight via case-comments API for full context

Setup

    GitHub → repo Settings → create a fine-grained PAT with 'Issues: write' scope

    Tracelight → Dashboard → Integrations → New webhook → Kind: Zapier (recommended) → paste catch-hook URL

    In Zapier: Filter on severity → Action: GitHub → Create Issue (use the PAT)

    Test from Tracelight + verify the GitHub issue appears within seconds
