We're small. Deliberately.

Tracelight is a deliberately small operation. We don't have open requisitions today — the founding team can absorb the next 6–12 months of growth with the existing tooling and a modest amount of contracting help.

That said, three kinds of people are always worth talking to:

Investigators with product opinions

If you're an active PI, M&A diligence analyst, fraud investigator, or investigative reporter and you have strong feelings about what OSINT tooling should and shouldn't be — we want to hear them. We hire investigative-domain advisors on a paid retainer to shape the roadmap, and we frequently hire short-term consulting engagements for specific verticals.

Senior backend engineers

Specifically: people with deep Postgres + Supabase experience, or who've built production OSINT pipelines (worker queues, rate-limit-aware fan-out, citation chain preservation). When the right person shows up at the right time, we make the role.

OSINT data specialists

People who can identify, vet, and onboard new OSINT data sources to expand our worker library. Think of this as “curator + integrator” — half data sourcing + relationship management with providers, half hands-on integration work with our worker SDK.

How we work

• Fully remote. Headquarters is Miami; the team is distributed.
• Async-first. Most work happens in Linear and Slack. Sync time is reserved for the things that genuinely need it.
• No open-plan offices.We don't have any offices.
• Equity for early hires. Meaningful equity for the right founding-team additions, structured as a real equity grant with a real cap table.
